Announcing the Four Paws for Noah Writing Competitions

Four Paws for Noah

I’m extremely humbled by the hosts of the Four Paws for Noah writing competitions. Charli Mills and Shareen Mansfield each agreed to host her own benefit writing competition to help my son Noah gain the necessary dollars for his Autism service dog. I keep typing and deleting because I truly can’t express how amazing it feels to be the recipient of this type of support.

But Charli and Shareen aren’t the only helpers. These competitions have volunteer judges and prize donors. I plan to profile these do-gooders throughout the course of the competitions, so stay tuned.

Want to compete? You’ll be a winner just for submitting!

All submission fees will go toward helping Noah and Appa on their journey through life together.

Thank you from Appa and Noah.

Thank you from Appa and Noah.

Go here to learn more about both competitions and submit your best flash fiction or (de)caffeinated confession.

  1. I’m confused…the link says there aren’t open calls for submissions. Are there guidelines on another page? Sorry if I’m being dense.

    Hi Shawna,
    1. Yesterday you visited my site. I am glad you liked my International Weekly Link Roundup. I know Shareen Mansfield and Elaine Mansfield.
    2. I am intrigued by your cause. Last week I attempted to raise money, as you might have seen at the roundup, for another cause May I ask what the service dog is for? Thanks again for your visit.

    • Janice, Thanks for stopping in! Yes, I loved the roundup. What a great collection. And the service dog is for my son, Noah. He has severe Autism-related anxiety that prevents from doing kid stuff or going places. It limits him in all areas of life. We have a GoFundMe where I’ve shared a considerable amount of our journey: These writing competitions are a way to give back and raise awareness. 🙂
