Body on the Page Writing Retreat

$25 registration fee, pay what you want at the door
Hosted by Fab Lab & Fitness Studio in downtown Bloomington

Body carries the emotional weight of physical experience and the physical weight of emotional experience. What is locked in your body? What is your body’s story? How can your body be free?

In this one-day intensive workshop retreat, we will use guided practice to explore the under layers of bodily experience. In the safety of a relaxed group setting at the heart of Bloomington, we will bring our experiences to the page. There, they will be recognized and released. This event is for female-identified individuals only. Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided throughout.

Please bring blankets and pillows to create a writing nest. Floor and chair seating available. Location is near bus routes and surrounded by Bloomington’s best dining and shopping. Please inquire about accessibility. All possible accommodations will be made. There will be a 2 hour break for lunch, private writing and perusal of the pop-up toy shop, Sam and Zanzi’s, located inside the Fab Lab. Maximum 16 participants. Some scholarships available.

Follow up Body on the Page by putting your heart on the page. Heart on the Page is the first in a series of love letter mini-retreats I will be leading on a monthly basis. This session will focus on letters of self-love and letters to past, present and future beloveds. As this event takes place during Memorial Day Weekend, you will also have the opportunity to write a letter of love to someone remembered.

Heart on the Page is open to all genders. This means you can turn the weekend into a romantic getaway. Take advantage of numerous Sunday brunch options in downtown Bloomington. Treat yourself!

If you are registering for both events, look for the double discount option below. You will also find the option to reserve your space(s) at a fraction of the cost. Due to small class sizes and costs of running the course, cancelled reservations are non-refundable.
