In Which Productivity Versus Apocalypse

Dear Readers,

Is everyone out there having a happy apocalypse? I know I am. What’s better than being quarantined and out of every job except the one where I write? Actually, let me tell you.

The pressure to write is higher than it’s ever been before. I’m fatigued by the number of congratulations I’ve gotten from well-meaning individuals who are certain this is the time during which I will f i n a l l y crank out that novel. Jokes on them. I produced a short story collection, three complete poetry collections, a novella and a children’s book well before this crisis that I never did anything with!

Or is the joke on me? I’m not sure. I’m taking it day by day and sometimes hour by hour. First step was writing out my thoughts on productivity during COVID-19 quarantine over on Medium. The next was dusting off my various writing platforms so I can reconnect with my online community in as many ways as possible.

I’m an introvert. Isolation is working for me. But, if I come out the other side of this pandemic, I do still want to have friends. So take a look at my Medium post, tell me what productivity is to you right now, and stay tuned. I’m sure I’ll be posting again here soon.
